Well, Barrett had a good time hunting eggs. Although, he would throw them like a baseball towards his basket. It was pretty funny.

After the lake, Sugee got to come and stay with us and Barrett cried when she left. He loved spending time with her.

Well, Barrett has changed so much since my last blog. We went to the lake, had Easter, got a new hair cut and had more pictures taken. Oh, and we sold our house. It has been really busy around our house.

Barrett loves to dance. It is quite hilarious. He loves to say gog,guck and fishhhhhhhhhhhhhh. He says alot of other things that we just can't quite understand. He is getting along better with his friends at daycare. We have not had a biting incident since he chased his friend down after they stole his Easter Egg. He makes us so happy. The next trip we have planned is to the Frio the first part of June. Hope all of you are doing well.

He's such a big boy now. He changes so much everyday. We took some pictures tonight for a Valentine's Day Card. It was not near as easy as it used to be. He bit Daddy in the middle of the Photoshoot and Daddy bit him back. I am sure you can tell which pictures that happened in! Right after Daddy bit him, he looked over at Chase like"I can't believe you just did that" and then cried. He's got to learn somehow. Poor baby.....

He loves his car. He got it for his birthday and has just loved it from day one. He loves to push the radio and now likes to climb in and out. Yes, he is a climber..Look out...He also gets terrible static everytime he is in his car. It makes his hair stand straight up!

He also had a check up this week. He weighs almost 26 pounds. He is Solid!

We had a wonderful Christmas. Barrett was such a good boy. He got a rocking horse from Santa and did not know what to think about it. He was actually scared of it until last week. Now he likes to get on it. He also got a drum. You would think he was in a band. He has had that down since day one..

He also got a slide and wagon from Sugee and loved them both. I think he kept Joannie, Sugee and KK really busy the night he got the slide.

On the way down, we got to see Sydney Joe. I am so glad we were able to meet up, otherwise we would have missed her. Barrett was a little squirmy wormy that day.

Well, we are back in Lubbock after a wonderful Christmas. We had a great time down in Corpus. Barrett was such a hoot wherever he went. I took a few pictures and will try to get them up soon.

He is walking really good now and has developed quite the personality. What a joy he brings to each and everyday. He is our little man.

He is quite scared of puppies, kittens and even his new rocking horse that Santa brought him. He also is not a huge fan of remote controlled cars. I am sure he will come around.

Well, I guess I better get to bed. I will get some pictures of the holidays up soon. Until then I will post some of his first year pictures that I think are adorable! They were taken by Dusty Gorman Photography out of Olton Texas. She's Awesome!

Well, it has happened. Barrett bit a poor unexpected baby at daycare on the knee. They say he has had many attempts and finally succeeded yesterday. They say he is not doing it to be mean, but is a little curious.

They turned out really cute. I think we are going to go ahead and purchase the CD of all the pictures. So, if any of you would like a picture just let us know and we can get it for you. I had gotten sick last week and it pushed us back us getting out the invitations. We still can't believe he is going to be 1. He looks so grown-up in his pictures!

Barrett's Birthday is Coming!

We cannot believe that our little man is about to be one! This year has flown by. We are going to have his party on Saturday, October 25th at 12:00 pm here in Lubbock. We will be sending out invitations this week. Just in case you need to know, he is wearing 12-18months clothes. 18-24 is still a little big.

We DVR'd the Bee Movie and he just loves it. It is amazing how much he is glued to that movie. It is his favorite.

He is so funny and is always a mess. He is such a joy though. We can't wait for everyone to see him.

Well Barrett is changing so much everyday! Sorry it has been so long since the last post! He has four teeth and loves to use them. We are constantly saying "no bite". He laughs. He is crawling and pulling up everywhere! He is a handful to keep up with! He is growing up too fast. He loves mashed potatoes and his cereal puffs. When he stands up he loves to look at his feet. He is so amazed by them. He can walk along the couch and tries to walk from the couch to the table. He's really brave. We have had many bumps and bruises, but he is falling with grace now!

Hope everyone is doing well. We miss everyone. I will try to post more often!

We plan on having his 1st Birthday Party on the weekend of October 25th here in Lubbock. Hope to see you all there!

WE went to Houston The middle of August. Barrett got to fly on his first airplane trip. He did such a good job. He was such a big boy. We got to stay with Susie and Megan and had a great time. Uncle Brad picked us up at the airport and we got to spend time with Sugee, Skunk, Aunt KK, Nannie, Brad, and many more! Here are some pictures of our trip.

Barrett Changes everyday!

We went for his 9 month check up on Friday, July 25th. He weighed 20 lbs 8.5 oz-60%, was 29 inches long-85%, and his head was over the 100%. He is growing so much in many ways.

He has such a sweet personality and a mind of his own. He is not crawling yet, but gets on his knees. He even tried to pull up on the recliner today. It won't be long before he is crawling all over the place I am sure.....

Well, Barrett has developed quite the personality. He is such a cutie pie. He loves to kiss and hug.... He also, grunts alot and makes tons of noises. He has surely found his voice. It is so cute. Hopefully I will figure out how to upload video. We miss everyone a bunch and I am sure you miss Barrett a ton.

He is not yet crawling, but is very strong. We went to the river 2 weeks ago and he got to see his cousin JC and had alot of fun with Sugee, KK, and Skunk. He and JC were so cute together. I will get pictures up here soon!

Well, all is well here in Lubbock. Barrett has been a little under the weather lately, but is doing much better. We found out Thursday he had Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease and two ear infections. He still does not have a great appetite, but it is improving. He is changing so much every day.

May 15th he got his first tooth followed by the second one around the 19th. He loves bouncy balls and watching other little kids play. He hangs on your every word really wanting to imitate you. We ofcourse think he is adorable and the joy of our lives. He is so happy, even when he is under the weather.

Well, sorry I am late posting something new! Last week we took Barrett to the pediatrician for his 6 month check-up. time sure does fly!

His weight was: 17lbs 14oz- 65%

Height : 26.8 inches - 75%

Head : 18.2 inches- 97%

He is a growing boy. He is such a joy. We are so blessed. He changes so much everyday. He laughs so much and is always in a good mood. Sometimes I catch myself just staring at him.

Lately he has not been sleeping as good. He is teething, the bottom 2 teeth are trying to come in. I think he is starting to feel a little better though.

We took him to get his picture made on Tuesday. He was such a big boy. He sat up by himself the entire time. He almost toppled over just a couple of times.

Well, Barrett has had to go to the Doctor quite a bit lately.. He has had 2 ear infections in 3 weeks, but we think he is on the road to recovery. Tomorrow we go in and he will get his shots unless he is still sick. She will check him over tomorrow. Last time we went he weighed 18 lbs. and a little change with his clothes on. Tomorrow they will weigh him without his clothes and measure his length. He is definitely growing .

He changes all the time. He loves to laugh alot and is so good natured. His hand-eye coordination is really good. If he wants something he can grab it. Now, he is a little lazy sometimes. When we put him on the floor he won't always roll around. Especially if you want him to. He does like his exersaucer. He can play in it a while!

He hangs on your every word and moves his mouth with yours. He still does not cry too much unless there is a good reason. What can we say? He's perfect!

Well, today we were in the living room and Barrett was playing in the floor. Before we knew it he was half-way across the room. He is rolling over and over. He was so proud of himself. I can't believe how much he changes each day. He is growing up so fast!

Barrett is also sitting up so well. He wobbles a little and still falls over, but it getting the hang of it. He is so strong and loves to grab everything. He loves to go shopping with Mommy. I sat him up straighter in the stroller and he just loved looking around.

He still has a cough, but hopefully his ear infection is gone. We will keep a close eye on him. He such a sweetie pie!

Barrett is so funny when he plays in his new toy! I hope to upload video soon, but until then I will show some new pictures of him. I hope everyone is doing good. He is sure getting big. Friday at daycare Ms. Lynn said that Barrett and his new friend were just tzzalking to each other and then Barrett started making a growling sound. This made all the other babies turn and stare. She said it was so cute.

He has really been grabbing more and more. He can grab hair, noses, glasses...you name it he tries to get it! He can even put his toes in his mouth...His Nonnie gave him his first taste of ice cream and he sure liked it. He has now moved onto fruits in his baby foods. He has eaten bananas and loved them.

Last week I took him to the doctor and he has an ear infection. He seems to be feeling better. He weighed 17lbs. 15oz with clothes on...He has his 6 month check-up on the 29th.

He has definitely found his voice. He has been talking and laughing for a while now, but lately he is so loud. It is hillarious. Grandma got to hear him on the phone the other day. He loves his new Baby Einstein videos, his eyes stay peeled on them.

Well, we got Barrett an exersaucer and he just loves it. He spins around playing with everything and it allows him to jump up and down to exercise his legs. He is so funny when he is rying to grab everything. He is constantly looking around and can't decide what to grab at next. He gets so mad when he can't put the stuff in his mouth.

He is doing great with his baby food now. He has eaten peas, carrots, and is now on squash. He has loved all of those. We will go back to green beans and hopefully he will like them better than before. He also tried juice for the first time today and just loved it.

He just loves everyone. He is a very happy baby. My friend from High School, Bryan, came to meet Barrett on Easter...Barrett slept through the Easter Egg Hunt, but Shalee and I got him some eggs for his humongous basket! It is really cute though. He'll have to drag it behind him next year!

Well, this week we started baby foods. We started with green beans and he hated them, I know that "hate" is a strong word, but you could just tell. He gagged a whole bunch and even threw up. We tried that for two excruciating nights and then moved on to Peas. Much better. He loves them, and soon we'll move on to carrots. Yum, Yum..... He is still a little joy and getting funnier every day! He loves to blow bubbles and sometimes even spits on you. He sticks his tongue out, it is sooooo cute. I can't wait til we have a movie camera! Well, It has been a week since we have been at the lake. We had such a good time and Barrett loved getting to see everyone! I have an idea that everyone also loved seeing him, at least little bit. Sugee, Aunt KK, Skunk, Nanny, Grandma, Aunt Janice, Aunt Loraine, Aunt Joanie, Cousin Sydey, and Uncle Joe all got to come and see Barrett from Corpus and Dallas. He got so many nice clothes and already looks adorable in them. Thanks so much to everyone. I know everyone has been waiting for some new pictures. Here are some great ones! We are so glad everyone could make it to the lake and hope we can do it again next year!

Rollin, Rollin, Rollin Barrett Just Kept Rollin...Yehaw

Well, he did it! He finally rolled over, and over. He was with his MiMi Thursday, March 13th at 3:55. He has been trying for over a month now, and works so hard at it. She said he worked at it for about 30 minutes before he finally did it. This week he was on his belly and just could not figure out how to get that shoulder out of the way. When I got home yesterday he rolled over a few times. He is so determined.

We can't thank Nonnie and MiMi enough for keeping our little man this week. It really meant alot to us for them to help us out. It makes us very grateful to have such a supportive and loving family that you can always count on. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

We leave today for the lake. We can't wait to see everyone.

Barrett is also getting better, we have a little less than a week of breathing treatments. Also, he starts baby food next week. He is growing up too fast!

4 Month Check-up/Measurements

Well, Barrett was supposed to get his 4 month shots yesterday and get measured. He did get measured, but we will have to wait to get his shots since he is still sick. He did get a good report on his RSV. The doctor thinks he will need about 1 1/2 weeks more of breathing treatments. We were relieved. Now, they did get to measure him though. He was a big boy.

Weight: 16 lbs 15 oz-75%

Height: 26 inches-90%

Head: 17.6-97%

We ofcourse think he is perfect and love him more everyday!

My Nonnie and MiMi are going to take care of me

Thank goodness Barrett's Nonnie and MiMi are going to come and take care of him while Chase and I are at work. We feel so blessed to have them come and see about him. We feel so much better he is in such good hands and we appreciate them so much! Barrett is out of daycare all this week, and since I am off next week he will be out then also. He is such a little trooper taking his breathing treatments so well. He goes tomorrow for his 4 month check up, however now it is a RSV check-up. They will still weigh and measure him, but he will not get his shots until next week since he is sick. He is a growing boy, and we can't wait to see how much bigger he has gotten. We will let you all know when we find out.

Barrett is a sick little baby

Well, Barrett has RSV. It is a respiratory virus that you don't want your infant to catch. Unfortunately we found out yesterday that Barrett tested positive for the virus. He has had a cough off and on since he has been in daycare and I have already had him tested two times before. However, this time seemed a little worse and he was running a low grade fever. He also did not want me to put him down, which is not like him. Luckily something told me to go ahead and take him in since it was about to be the weekend and we are so glad we did.

He is doing really good so far. We have to give him breathing treatments every 4-6 hours. He has not been running a high fever and is not too fussy either. He is a good baby even when he is sick. We are so lucky. We were told he could get worse, but we just have to wait and see. We will try to keep everyone updated. Keep our little guy in your thoughts and prayers.

Barrett has family all over Texas and loves them all! Here are a few pictures of Barrett and his family. I wish I had pictures of everyone with Barrett, but I do not at this time. He is still doing really good, but has a little cough. He sure seems to catch a bunch of stuff at daycare. Oh, well we know they love him there and that is what matters the most. He is still grabbing at everything and finds most things very fascinting. He laughs a bunch when Chase blows on his belly and he even like Pee-Pie. I read a few books to him last night and he seemed to like the pictures. He sat there really content. He's such a sweetie! We get to go to the lake in a week and Barrett will get to see his Sugar D, Aunt KK, Skunk, Grandma, Nanny, Aunt Loraine, Aunt Janice, Aunt Joanie, Blaine, Julie and Justin, and maybe Sydney and Uncle Joe. We are all very excited to see everyone. He has changed a ton since Christmas.

Barrett has started eating cereal a week ago. He just loves it. He is still trying to get the hang out of eating from a spoon, but he is doing great. We think he loses more down his chin than he gets in his mouth. One week from today we can find out how much he weighs. He weighed 15lbs 10 oz. a couple of weeks ago. He is definitely a growing boy. He can still wear some of his 3-6 month clothes, but also fits in his 6 months clothes. In this picture he is about 3 months old.

Barrett is such a blessing to our lives! We thank God everyday for him. Lately he has been grabbing at everything. He notices more and more everyday. He is now 4 months and 1 week. For about one month now he has been trying to roll over. He can get completely on his side with his leg kicked over, but his shoulder seems to stop him. He loves to laugh out loud and has the funniest facial expressions. He has also been grabbing his feet for a couple of weeks. He has his 4 month check up in 8 days. We can't wait to see what he weighs! We will post pictures soon!
